    Fabulous

The room has a door directly to the outside, adjacent to the car park so that we could park the car right in close proximity to our room and get the dog out of the car to walk first thing in the morning.

The water in the bathroom was hot and extra hot instead of cold and hot. One of the lights did not work properly. Other than that, it was a clean, safe place to stay for the night.

Lynchburg hotels were booked solid for the weekend--this was the closest available room.

Cobwebs, dirt, smell, creepy empty swimming pool, poor maintenance inside and out. We couldn't even find office personnel to check out in morning, so we just left. This place apparently used to be a Howard Johnson's and it appears that nothing was done in improvements since the current owners bought it years ago.

    Good

    The price and the location

You have to go through a long hallway to get to the room where it was noisy till 5 AM because of a group football players, good guys but the noise was no good.

    Fabulous

Staff was friendly. We actually left 2 items after checking out. When we called & spoke with housekeeping they had the items & put them at the front desk for us to pick up. Like the coffee maker, microwave & fridge in the room.

Hallway smells strongly of cigarette smoke, although the rooms don't. The smell does seem to come in the room under the door. We put the bath towel rug there to block the smell. There was a good bit of noise outside from other guests but it did quiet down by midnight & we had no problem sleeping.

Location was pretty good (near Wendy's and McDonald's).

Room had terrible odor, facilities were terribly run-down, 2 out of 3 lights did not work, toilet backed up, furniture was stained, hardly any food for breakfast (we had to go to McDonald's).

attentive staff when needing to call front desk, very polite.

even though a sign says guests only and there was a key card holder to open the door , the door always remained open, maybe that was why we kept getting our door knocked on at 4am.

There was almost no street noise and the other guests were not loud. The swimming pool was better than we expected.

This is a vintage 1975 property.

    The wifi worked!

This placed should be closed for health & safety violations. The shower curtain, tub and tiles had mold on them. The toilet had green residue on it. The very small towels provided were dingy and tattered. Neither the tub or two sinks had sink stoppers for the drains. Cheap toilet paper, no tissues. No clock in the room. I slept fully clothed out of fear I would have to leave in the middle of the night. The lobby and hallways smelled and were so run down and damaged. I couldn't even recognize the out date light switches and outlets. Furniture looked liked it was pieces together from a yard sale. All "artwork" was crooked and damaged. Chairs were stained. Staff was dressed unprofessional wearing old t-shirts and tank tops. Failed to provide me a receipt at check out upon request. I did not partake of the free breakfast for obvious reasons.

The check-in cashier was very sweet and nice.

odd, non-paved entrance to hotel property, very small and shabby lobby, room was dirty with smudged dirt and what appeared to be boogers on top of bureau, black mold across bottom of shower curtain, no hangers in closet area nor fresh, clean towels in bathroom, bed broke when sat on corner, extra security metal door attachment was broken off, pool was empty and in disrepair, dog barking in room across hotel, police showed up while we were there looking for someone, lady in hallway was wandering around looking for a room to go to, outlet didn't work for lamp, "housekeeping" attendant showed up at door barefoot and unkempt looking, carpet was filthy with spills and stains

    Good

The rooms were fairly clean and the beds were comfortable. Free wifi, microwave, fridge, etc., Very close to Lynchburg, VA area. I think it was ok for the money. People know what they are getting into when they book this location and then they expect it to be a Four Season's Hotel. It served it's purpose. Go in with extremely low expectations and you will be ok but only if you are using for a day or two, It's like paying to go in to a Haunted House event, you know what to expect so roll with it and don't come out like you didn't know that it was supposed to be scary. I saved a lot of money and didn't have to drive very far from Lynchburg.

Location is odd. There is no clear entrance, in my opinion. Although the rooms were fine, the interior of the hotel looked like a 1950's Soviet era hallway and did smell of cigarette smoke. The rooms were fine and did not smell of smoke. Don't plan on eating here (I beg you).

I'm usually an easy going person when it come to online reviews but this hotel and it's staff has left such a bad taste in my mouth. I will never attempt another stay at an ABVI hotel again!

The "breakfast" was disgusting! The "non-smoking rooms" were foggy and smelled of smoke from outside the building all the way into the rooms. The clerk was asleep 2/3 of the time as I needed to ring the bell and wait for him to answer every night! He accused me of not knowing how to shower since water fell from the tub onto the floor (which wouldn't have happened if the curtains were an appropriate size) and as the water was on the floor, it would leak downstairs (poor caulking). He then barged into my room and as I questioned his hospitality and asked "you don't believe in the customer being right?" He responded with "absolutely not, I've worked here for years and you know nothing". To which I stated "so you can't possibly be wrong? You must be a genius" and then he screamed saying "I am a genius!" All in all this stay wasn't even worth the money I was trying to save by staying at a less than decent hotel. I even asked him for towels and apparently e has no access to linen of any sort, only the housekeeping is allowed. The next morning(s) I asked house keeping to allow me to have two more towels and they stated that I needed to give them my two dirty ones..which when I did, I had to wait 4 hrs to get two new ones, despite the fact that I had to shower 3 hrs earlier for an event I was running now late to. The wi-fi didnt even work! I've got to say, please listen to me, save your money by going somewhere else! Even if you have to cough up some cash elsewhere, it is well worth it! I paid for a decent room with decent wi-fi and decent breakfast, instead I got the worst experience I've ever had while traveling. I couldn't even check

    Good

    The air worked nice.

I asked for a smoking room when I booked my room. I get there and they only have non smoking left. Get to the room and the light switch doesn't work. The light switch in the bathroom flickers when turned on. Breakfast was nasty and housekeeping started knocking on my door at 9:30 when check out is at 11

Not anything that comes to mind.

It was 17 degrees outside when I checked in. There was no heat in the hall way. The room and was freezing. The heat just blew out cool air, that and the sliding glass door would not close all the way. The maintenance guy said he would be back with duck tape for the door. Switched rooms. Seriously not better. Was going to stay 4 days. Left after the first night. Still waiting for my refund to post. It needs to be completely redone or just tore down all together.

    Fabulous

Easy to book. Close to Liberty University. Room & bathroom were clean & comfortable. Simple breakfast was provided.

Hallway smelled of cigarette smoke. Didn't have enough towels for the number in the room. Would rather have single serve cream cheese tubs instead of one for all the guests to use. Waffle iron was not available for use one day.
